Martini Porsche 911 revives design icon

Porsche has recreated the classic Martini racing colours in a car that can go from 0 to 100km/h in just over four seconds.

Porsche has treated the 911 to a set of light blue and red stripes in order to recreate the classic Martini racing colours that will be forever linked to the marque.

Porsche Exclusive is offering just 80 examples of the special Martini Racing Edition, which is based on the 911 Carrera S. Its potent 3.8 litre flat-six engine churns out 400 horsepower - enough for acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.1 seconds.

It will be sold in selected markets in Europe and Latin America, as well as in China and Japan.

The interior includes dashboard accents in the body colour with the "Martini Racing Edition" badge. The Martini Porsche also has a sport design steering wheel and the Sport Chrono package as standard.

Prices start at 126,000 euros ($A188,990).
