Manly and the NRL will investigate the alleged "anti-social behaviour" of Willie Mason at an Auckland nightclub during this weekend's Nines tournament.

It is believed Mason was asked to leave a venue on Saturday night after what has been described as a minor incident.

Mason was not part of the Sea Eagles' Auckland Nines squad this weekend but attended as a guest of the NRL season opening tournament's events partner.

"The club has been made aware of the alleged anti-social behaviour by Willie Mason at the NRL Auckland Nines over the weekend," a Manly statement said.

"Although not a part of the Sea Eagles NRL Auckland Nines squad, Mason is still a representative of the club and as such, the matter will be reviewed internally before offering any further comment.

"The NRL's Integrity Unit is also aware of the matter."
