Thyme For Roses has survived a late scare to become one of the shortest-priced horses to win in Sydney racing.
Sent out a prohibitive $1.07 favourite against three rivals, Thyme For Roses scrambled home by a half-head over Rather Sweet in a heart-stopping Warwick Farm finish for the punters brave enough to take the long odds-on.
The TAB's Glenn Munsie said he couldn't recall a shorter-priced two-year-old winning on a Sydney racetrack since the Tommy Smith-trained Quiet Little Drink won a race at Randwick in 1983 as a $1.06 hotpot.
