Maxwell, Marsh sanctioned by IPL

Glenn Maxwell and Shaun Marsh have been sanctioned by the Indian Premier League for dissent, with Maxwell being fined 25 per cent of his match fee.

Glenn Maxwell has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee and Shaun Marsh reprimanded after the Australian pair were found guilty of showing dissent during the Kings XI Punjab's Indian Premier League loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.

An IPL statement said Maxwell had admitted to the level one offence of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match and accepted the sanction.

Marsh admitted to a similar offence but escaped a fine.
