McDonalds trials home-delivery service in Sydney.

The global McDonanlds brand has introduced "Mc Delivery" at North Parramatta.

Countries, including China, Singapore and Malaysia, have long been able to call up and wait for a delivery driver, outfitted in a colorful uniform, to knock on the door bearing fast-food.

The Sydney store's participation has thrilled fans but drawn criticism from nutritionists due to the outlet's location and knock to healthy eating.

According to the National Health Performance Agency report, the disadvantaged western Sydney area trialling the home-delivery model has one of the highest levels of obesity in the city.

While health experts warn the scheme promotes an unhealthy combination, a sedentary lifestyle and fast-food consumption, some consumers are revelling in the convenience of not having to spend money on petrol.

The service comes at a cost, with delivery charge accompanying orders which can be placed between 5pm and 9pm every day.
