West Coast star Jeremy McGovern would love to have his younger brother Mitch back in WA, even if it means an AFL trade to Fremantle.
Mitch wants a trade out of Adelaide and the strong speculation is that he will go to a Melbourne club, probably Carlton.
But Jeremy is holding out hope that the brothers can be reunited in their home state.
"I'd like to say yes, but I don't know," he said.
"I've told him that I'd love him to come back and he knows that.
"If it happens, it would be awesome."
The older McGovern said he only found out about Mitch's move when he rang him to see how some off-season surgery had gone.
"'I'm there for him, whatever he needs," Jeremy said.
"I'm not putting too much input to him, it's up to him."
But McGovern is not thrilled about the prospect of facing Mitch in a western derby.
"I'd' have to get into him a fair bit," Jeremy said.
"If he does, at least he'll be home, [I'd] see him a bit more.
"But come the derby, it would be pretty interesting."
Jeremy was named on Wednesday night as the centre half-back in the All-Australian team.
It is his third-straight All-Australian selection.
