Carlton's Brock McLean has accepted a fine for reckless contact with an umpire in the Blues' NAB Challenge win over North Melbourne.

McLean pleaded guilty and copped a reduced fine of $1950 for the clash with Robert O'Gorman in third quarter of the pre-season game on Saturday.

Richmond's Aaron Edwards has also accepted a striking charge from the Tigers' pre-season loss to Melbourne, but was spared a punishment of time on the sidelines.

His strike on Demon debutant Bernie Vince in the third quarter of Friday night's match was assessed as reckless but just low impact to the body.

Edwards' six-year good record allowed him to plead guilty for a punishment of 45 points toward his future record.
