The end of her international netball career looms in less than two weeks, but Australian captain Clare McMeniman isn't getting emotional as she prepares to lead the world champion Diamonds into the Constellation Cup series,
Defender McMeniman has already announced she will be retiring after the four-match series which stats on Sunday in Sydney and ends in Invercargill on October 20.
Focused to the very end, 31-year-old McMeniman isn't approaching the Constellation Cup differently to any other international commitment, even though it will be her last one.
'It's exactly the same as I would approach any tour with Australia or any game, full stop," McMeniman told AAP.
"I always want to win and I hold the significance of playing for Australia quite dearly to my heart.

"It means a lot to me to represent my country, it doesn't matter the circumstances of my future under which I'm going into the match."
McMeniman retired in 2011 and came back in 2014 but doubts she would do that again.
"I don't think there would be a possibility," she said.
"I don't think you can never say never.
"I returned and I came back after that, but at this stage my netball career is coming to a close."
McMeniman won multiple trans-Tasman titles with Queensland Firebirds, but isn't fussed she will end her career not having played in one of the two biggest international tournaments.
"I've never played in a Commonwealth Games or a World Cup so from that perspective there's still other things that I haven't done in my netball career," she said.
"But I just feel that the time is right to finish now.
"I still feel I'm playing good netball and I don't want to overstay my welcome.
"I've got to a point where I am just feeling content with where I am in my general overall life, I feel now is the time for me to finish up."
