Musician Jon Stevens was a no-show at a Sydney court where he is facing assault charges against his fashion designer fiancee Jodhi Meares.
Stevens (whose real name is John Stevenson) was represented by Greg Goold, who presented a medical certificate on his client's behalf at Waverley Local Court on Thursday.
The Noiseworks frontman was charged with common assault by Rose Bay police, who arrested Stevens at 4.45am on Monday, after they were called to the couple's luxury Point Piper unit.
An interim AVO was continued on Thursday.
Lawyer Chris Murphy released a statement earlier on Thursday saying Ms Meares "is totally without fear or concerns in relation to any future conduct".
"In accordance with normal procedures Rose Bay Police sought the order ...
"I am also instructed by my client that there is absolutely no history of violence in the relationship," he wrote on Twitter
The matter was adjourned until May 18.
