Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will not be fined by the National Football League for his behaviour during Super Bowl week.
Lynch had been fined $US20,000 ($A25,700) for a crotch-grabbing obscene gesture made after scoring a touchdown in the National Conference final and had been threatened with a fine for repeating such a move in the Super Bowl, but did not.
Lynch said little in his mandatory media sessions, but showed up for the minimum amount of time and fulfilled his obligations, according to a league spokesman on Wednesday.
In addition, Lynch was not fined for wearing a cap bearing his "Beast Mode" logo during media sessions because the hat was provided to him by an NFL licensee and in team colours.
Lynch, whose Seahawks lost 28-24 to New England in last Sunday's Super Bowl, notably answered every question at media day with "I'm here so I won't get fined," or a similar remark.
