Medibank, Calvary restart contract talks

Health insurer Medibank Private and hospital operator Calvary have resumed formal contract talks.

In a statement on Wednesday, the warring parties said they restarted negotiations on the contract set to expire on August 31, but would not go into details.

Calvary CEO Mark Doran and Medibank official Andrew Wilson described the talks as fruitful and said they were both encouraged by the progress of the discussions.
