"Dusty" was rescued by farmer Ashley Stewart and his family two years ago, after his mother was killed when hit by a car, Mr Stewart told the Daily Mail.

He has sinced lived with the Stewart family on their farm at Wittenoom Hills, in Western Australia.

Now, the friendly little marsupial is so comfortable with their dogs Lilly and Rosie that he rides around the property on the back of Mr Stewart's truck with the dogs, shares a bed with his canine companions, and eats dog treats.

"He's either eating or sleeping. He's a very placid creature, and every time you walk out the door if he's not laying in his bed he comes up and wants a pat and a scratch,' Mr Stewart told the Daily Mail.

"He even puts his arms up and wraps them around you like he's giving you a cuddle," he said.
