Melb collapsed crane to be dismantled

A crane will be dismantled from Thursday, almost a week after it collapsed on a Melbourne worksite injuring one person.

A crane that collapsed on a Melbourne worksite almost a week ago will be dismantled.

WorkSafe says removal work is expected to begin on Thursday afternoon but it's unclear when it will be finished or surrounding roads will re-opened.

A failed hydraulic ramp is being blamed for the Southbank accident which injured one person last Friday.
