Melb protest against indefinite detention

A pro-asylum seeker group will stage a protest in central Melbourne against indefinite detention.

A protest against the indefinite detention of asylum seekers will be staged in central Melbourne.

The Refugee Action Collective says it will spend several hours outside a Department of Immigration office in Lonsdale Street, from midday on Wednesday.

The group says it wants "freedom and permanent protection for refugees subjected to indefinite detention".
