A private memorial service for slain Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh will be held next week at Adelaide Oval.

"Family, friends and the football community will celebrate the life of Phil Walsh at a private memorial service at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday, July 15," the Crows said on Thursday in a statement.

Walsh was allegedly stabbed to death last Friday by his 26-year-old son.
