Australia's Cameron Percy has finished seventh at the weather-delayed Barbasol Championship in Kentucky, four shots behind American winner Troy Merritt.
Percy was in contention - just two shots off the pace - before thunderstorms and heavy rain suspended the fourth round at the Keene Trace Golf Club on Sunday.
When play resumed on Monday, the Victorian had five birdies but two bogeys halted his progress in a final round 69, for a total of 269.
Merritt carded a closing 67 to finish 23-under, the highlight coming on the eighth when his approach to the par four from 133 yards spun back into the hole for an eagle two.
Billy Horschel, Richy Werenski and Tom Lovelady shared second place on 22-under, Horschel's birdie putt on the 18th unfortunately catching the edge of the hole and spinning out.
Merritt's previous win came in the Quicken Loans National in 2015 and the 32-year-old had to regain his PGA Tour card via the Web.com Tour finals last year.
"It's pretty special," Merritt told the Golf Channel.
"It's been a few years, it's been a struggle and a long time coming."
