The Northern Territory government has offered to fly the family of a young teacher, lost to the MH17 disaster, to the outback town where she was based.
Homelands teacher Emma Bell, aged in her 20s, started working at Maningrida College in Northern Arnhem Land in 2013.
She was reported to have been spending the school holidays in Europe and was on her way back for the start of the term when the Malaysia Airlines jet was taken down.
Northern Territory Chief Minister Adam Giles has sent his condolences to her family and said the government had offered to fly them to Maningrida.
He called Ms Bell an "outstanding educator" who had a strong relationship with the community.
"She involved all parents and students in her classroom learning activities and was energetically learning the local language with her students and parents," he said in a statement.
Mr Giles also paid respects to Queensland-based couple Wayne Baker, 55, and wife Theresa, 53, who had been public servants in the Northern Territory government.
Mr Baker had just retired.
The chief minister said the couple were much loved and their death, along with Miss Bell's, would have a large effect on the state.
"The Northern Territory is a small and tight-knit community," he said.
"I encourage all Territorians who knew those who have been lost to support each other at this heartbreaking time."
