Michelle Payne suspended at Moonee Valley

Michelle Payne has received a seven meeting suspension at Moonee Valley but will be free to ride at the Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast.

Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne will be free to ride at the Gold Coast despite copping a suspension at Moonee Valley.

Payne was given a seven-meeting ban for careless riding aboard Snitzel Music in Saturday's VOBIS Gold Carat, causing Chris Symons on Tokyo Typhoon and Ben Melham on Antelucan to be steadied near the 1000m mark.

She will take the penalty immediately, returning on Saturday, where she has rides on Atalanta Miss and Husson Eagle for brother Patrick at the Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast.

Atalanta Miss is set to run in the Magic Maillions Guineas over 1400m and Husson Eagle in the 1100m Magic Millions Sprint.

Payne pleaded guilty but said Tokyo Tycoon and Antelucan had contributed to the interference saying they were "two green horses".
