Miley Cyrus says she "warned" critics her Bangerz Tour would be raunchy and that they should save their complaints for the McDonald's drive through.
The 21-year-old pop star has parents up in arms over the graphic nature of her show, currently touring the US.
Cyrus addressed their concerns in remarks posted on her Twitter page on Thursday, hours after it emerged some were trying to shut down the concert series.
"You can't say I didn't warn you. Now sit back relax & enjoy the show. #bangerztour," the former Hannah Montana star wrote.
The tweet also included a photo of the star wearing a g-string leotard decorated with marijuana leaves, and an image of parental advisory warning sticker on stage behind her.
"Save your complaints for the McDonalds drive thru when they forget the 'fries with that,'" the singer later added.
According to HitFix, Cyrus' messages come on the heels of complaints from "outraged parents", stunned by the content of her shows, which have included the singer miming sex acts on a man wearing a Bill Clinton mask, stuffing fans' underpants in her mouth and groping her back-up dancers.
"Miley's management have been flooded with complaints, mainly from parents, since her tour began last week in Canada with calls for the entire tour to be axed," a source told the website.
"Her team, including management, record label executives and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers - have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the US threaten to pull out of the show."
Cyrus' record label bosses have yet to comment on the claims.
