Priscilla Presley would never criticise Miley Cyrus as she reminds her of the King of Rock.
Presley says she remembers the backlash Elvis often faced because of his gyrating hips and stage costumes, including his infamous jump suits.
When asked what she thought of the pop stars of today, such as Miley, Priscilla laughed that Elvis' antics were tame in comparison,
"I don't know what to think of her. I mean I think she's very talented. And I think maybe Miley feels she has to express herself and this is what she needs right now. I can't criticise, I really don't want to criticise because Elvis went through the same thing," Priscilla told ET.
"He had sex appeal, but one of things that bothered him was the fact that when he moved he got reprimanded by not only the public, but by a lot of people from high places. But Elvis was brought up on gospel music and watching them sing and feelling it. It's soulful."
Cyrus, 21, often hits the headlines for her skimpy costumes and racy dance moves.
Currently on her Bangerz tour, Cyrus got people talking when she planted a kiss on Katy Perry who was sitting in the front row of her concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Priscilla married Elvis in 1967. They divorced in 1973.
