Australia's Jack Miller is hoping to recapture the form that helped him to top MotoGP's open class entries last month when he races at the French motorcycle grand prix.
The 20-year-old was the best of the non-factory or satellite team bikes at the Argentine Grand Prix with a personal best 12th place for CWM LCR Honda.
He only managed to finish 20th last start in Spain after a costly error midway through the race.
But, following a positive test day, Miller is confident he can do better at Le Mans on Sunday.
"I'm looking forward to the French GP this weekend after a busy week training," said the Queenslander, who scored a victory at the classic circuit in Moto3 last season.
"The test after the last GP at Jerez went really well so I look forward to this race now to use the things we improved in terms of the feeling of the bike during the test."
Miller will be keeping a close eye on the weather, which he says makes racing at the already-difficult track even more challenging.
"We'll do our best whatever happens and in terms of the things we can control, we'll try and overcome any obstacles we find," he added.
Miller is 16th on the championship standings, which is led by Yamaha's Italian veteran Valentino Rossi.
