Australian MotoGP star Jack Miller will be out to redeem himself at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix after walking away empty handed from the last round in France.
The CWM LCR Honda rider crashed on the 15th lap of 28 at Le Mans, where he has enjoyed success in the past.
He faces another challenge at Tuscany's picturesque Mugello track where the Queenslander led for several laps of last year's Moto3 race.
Miller is hoping to take advantage of the expected fine weather and fast-flowing, undulating nature of the circuit to add to his championship points tally.
"I think Mugello is a great track which I know is going to be so different on a MotoGP bike compared to the Moto3 machine, so I'm definitely looking forward to it," the 20-year-old said.
"It's going to be another hard weekend, I'm sure, with the long straight there, but the tracks that have been open and flowing have been pretty good for us."
Apart from a couple of crashes during races, Miller said he was "right where we want to be - fighting with Nicky Hayden, Danilo Petrucci and even Maverick Viales.
"We're making steps forward and a lot of things are changing and improving, the work we did and the consistency was good during the Le Mans weekend, so I'm positive this can continue again in Mugello."
Miller sits 18th on the overall championship standings, his best result being 12th in Argentina in April.
