Mills, Baynes party hard after Spurs loss

A gossip website has captured Australia's San Antonio Spurs Patty Mills and Aron Baynes leaving a Hollywood club after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Australia's Patty Mills, Aron Baynes and their San Antonio Spurs were knocked out of the NBA Playoffs, but they didn't let it spoil their end of season party.

Gossip site TMZ has footage of Mills, Baynes and Spurs team-mates leaving a Hollywood Boulevard club after Saturday night's dramatic 111-109 last second loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 208cm tall, 118kg Queensland forward Baynes is propped up by Spurs' veteran leader Tim Duncan and another person.

"Thanks man," a smiling Baynes tells a camera man who congratulates the Spurs on a great game.

"Appreciate it."

Duncan, wearing a white singlet, tells Baynes to "shut up".

After Baynes makes it onto the team bus parked on Hollywood Boulevard team officials can be heard saying, "Go check for Patty".

Mills, also looking a little shaky on his feet, leaves the club with his arm hanging over a man.

Baynes had reason to have had a big night with the Spurs.

His one-year, $US2.1 million ($A2.68 million) contract is up with the Spurs so he may find himself on another NBA team next season.

Mills has two years left on the three-year $US13 million ($A16.6 million) contract he signed last year.

The Spurs lost what has been described as one of the great NBA games on Saturday when their seven-game series with the Clippers came down to LA guard Chris Paul tossing up a one-handed bank shot with one second left.
