Mint building evacuated after gas leak

The Royal Australian Mint has been evacuated after a chemical reaction caused a gas release.

A gas release triggered a fire alarm leading to the evacuation of 100 people from the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra.

ACT Fire & Rescue responded to the alarm at 10am AEDT on Wednesday, following a gas release due to a chemical reaction.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics assessed one patient on scene, but transport to hospital was not required.
