Miranda Kerr's family fails to fire

My Kitchen Rules has kept its perfect strike rate in the ratings after againg being the number one show on TV.

The viewing public apparently wasn't that interested in hearing Miranda Kerr's parents talk about their supermodel child on Family Confidential.

The ABC1 documentary, which featured Kerr's parents speaking about their disappointment in their famous offspring, ranked 17th on Tuesday with 631,000 viewers.

Kerr's parents John and Therese, and her brother Matthew, all said fame had made Miranda more distant and that her son Flynn was missing out on opportunities his mum grew up with on her rural Gunnedah home.

They also said they had not seen Kerr or Flynn for more than a year and it was her husband, actor Orlando Bloom, who broke the news about their marriage breakdown.

The ratings for the second episode of Family Confidential were down on last week's launch episode about Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness which attracted 694,000 viewers.

While the Kerr family may not have a struck a high note with viewers My Kitchen Rules made it three straight wins for the Seven Network since official ratings started on Sunday.

MKR drew 1.792 million viewers to keep its perfect record for finishing number one each night it has aired.

Seven won the opening night of the official ratings with part one of its mini-series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart and then the next two nights with episodes of MKR.

The Nine Network had to settle for the minor spoils after The Big Bang Theory (1.104 million), The Block: Fans v Faves (1.1 million) and Nine News (1.055 million) filling second to fourth spots.

A Current Affair, which has moved to 7pm against Seven soapie Home And Away this year, missed out on a top 10 placing, finishing 11th with 888,000 according to OzTAM's overnight ratings.
