Missing Vic woman, 90, has been found

An elderly woman missing in the Melbourne CBD has been located.

A 90-year-old woman who vanished after leaving a Melbourne CBD train station has been found.

Gwenith Haines had taken a morning train from Nagambie and was supposed to meet friends on Friday at the National Gallery of Victoria at 11am, but never arrived.

Police asked city commuters to keep an eye out for her, as she didn't have a mobile phone and her family was concerned.

But Ms Haines made contact with her daughter on Friday evening to say she is safe and had caught a taxi to Seymour.
