Missing woman found near Bundaberg

A woman who was missing in bushland at Cherwell River near Bundaberg has been found, but rescuers are still trying to reach her, police say.

A woman who went missing while looking for her dog in bushland in central Queensland has been found.

Police say the woman, 46, went missing near the Cherwell River near Bundaberg about midday on Saturday.

A land and air search was launched in the afternoon and continued into Sunday morning.

Officers told AAP the woman has been found on Sunday morning, but rescuers are still trying to reach her.

It is still unknown if the woman found her pooch.
