Mistaken identity amid Suarez social media storm

A Buenos Aires-based tweeter has found himself in the middle of a social media storm as football fans mistake him for the now-infamous World Cup biter Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan's near namesake, Diego Suarez, has pleaded for an end to a deluge of online insults directed at him, taking to Twitter numerous times in recent days.
He added: "Suarez went and bit some guy again and I've been deluged with (online) mentions through til dawn.

"I used to like Twitter as it was a very relaxed medium for me where people didn't go round insulting me."

But that hasn't stopped some users, who have called Suarez a vampire and a "dirty horrid cheat".
