My Kitchen Rules antagonists David Kirk and Corinne Wieland say they are engaged but yet to make plans for their wedding.
The Cairns couple are facing elimination on Tuesday night's episode of the Seven Network reality series after scoring just 27 out of a possible 110 on Monday's instant restaurant challenge.
In the meantime, however, they've confirmed a media report they are still married to other people and responded to Wieland's ex-husband David Brown's tell-all interview with a glossy magazine.
Wieland told AAP on Tuesday she and Kirk became engaged at Christmas and had well and truly separated from their respective married partners.
"We got engaged at Christmas time and we will deal with the wedding when all this settles down," she said from Christchurch.
Brown claims Kirk, 53, and Wieland, 32, started an affair and told him a week before their 10th wedding anniversary she was leaving.
"I asked if she was having an affair, she said `yes', and I asked if it was with him and she said `yes'," Brown told Woman's Day.
In an interview on Seven Network's Sunrise, Kirk came out in defence of Brown and hosed down the strength of the article.
"I don't actually think he said those things, I'm actually surprised. David's not like that," Kirk said.
"The reason we are not married is because we are still married to other people."
