MKR kitchen fail passes two million

My Kitchen Rules has recorded the highest ratings this season with Monday night's kitchen calamity pulling more than 2 million viewers.

Viewers have taken great delight in watching My Kitchen Rules antagonists David and Corinne fail, with the episode recording the highest ratings this season.

Their kitchen calamity, which produced a record low score for the cooking show, pulled 2.124 million viewers to easily be the number one program on Monday.

The previous highest rating MKR episode this season was 2.109 million on February 4 when opinionated WA girls Chloe and Kelly held an instant restaurant.

The Cairns couple recorded the lowest score ever on the Seven Network reality series after receiving just 27 points out of a possible 110.

The pitiful score almost certainly condemns them to elimination on Tuesday night's final instant restaurant round.

The Nine Network's drama series Love Child was second for the evening with 1.255 million viewers.

The series launched last week with more than 1.3 million viewers and it has taken some of the gloss off its time-slot rival, Seven's US drama Revenge.

After finishing 11th last week with 862,000 viewers, Revenge returned to the top 10 to finish 10th with 937,000 viewers.
