MKR's Harry just wants to have fun

Victorian My Kitchen Rules contestant Harry says his playful table talk with engaged Anna is all in good fun.

My Kitchen Rules' resident Romeo Harry says what could be construed as flirting with an engaged contestant is just him being playful around the dinner table.

Horsing around with teammate Christo at the launch of the Melbourne Festival of Racing at Flemington on Tuesday, Harry made his first public appearance since breaking his neck at Sandringham beach last month.

He broke his neck after diving off a pole into shallow water and is still undergoing rehabilitation treatment.

During the MKR episode that aired earlier this week, Harry sidled up to engaged blonde from NSW, Anna, asking cheekily which room she was staying in before she told him to back off. He said during his interview on the show he was busting out some cute moves.

"Sometimes people forget that sometimes politeness is mistaken for flirtation," he said on at the racing event launch on Tuesday.

"So I'm just trying to be polite, have a bit of fun and enjoy myself around the table.

"She's got a fiance, I knew that, so it was just a bit of playful fun."

Harry hasn't been able to gauge women's response to him after being on the show because he has been at home recovering from his injury.

"I haven't really been able to go out and test the waters yet," he said.

He said he has received enormous support during his recovery from his family, friends and people involved in MKR.

"What this has shown me is that there is so much love out there and so much positively towards myself and it has really helped me recover a lot," he says.

Gatecrashers Anna and Cathy from NSW will cook during Tuesday's elimination episode, with Queensland's David and Corinne hoping to stay in the competition after posting the lowest score in MKR history.
