Episodes of Modern Family's Australian holiday will start airing on Network Ten later this month.
The popular sitcom, which stars Sophie Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, was filmed at several popular Australian tourist destinations in February.
The locations included Bondi Beach, Manly and Hayman Island in the Whitsundays where the male cast members were joined by their on screen kids, including Mensa member Nolan Gould, for a few days of filming.
While Burrell and co were settling into Hayman Island, Sofia Vergara was at Sydney's Moore Park visiting the Sydney Swans AFL club and being presented with Swans guernsey by coach John Longmire.
The episodes filmed in Australia will start airing on April 27.
The visit Down Under may have also proved that Americans can enjoy vegemite.
Burrell announced he was partial to the Australian spread during a recent interview in the US to promote the animated movie Peabody and Sherman.
The 46-year-old voices talking dog Mr Peabody.
"I love Vegemite," says Burrell, who plays bumbling dad Phil Dunphy on Modern Family.
"I was the only person on our cast and crew who liked it.
"I ate a lot of it. I came home with a couple of jars."
Companies including Qantas helped sponsor the show's Australian episodes in the hope the show will attract international travellers, similar to the impact of Ellen and Oprah's Australian specials.
