The former partner of Sydney siege gunman Man Haron Monis has been committed to stand trial for the murder of his ex-wife.

Amirah Droudis, 36, is accused of murdering Noleen Pal, who was stabbed and set alight at a Werrington apartment block in Sydney's west on April 21, 2013.

Ms Pal was the former wife of Monis, who took 18 people hostage inside the popular Lindt Cafe in Sydney's CBD in December.

Monis had been charged with being an accessory to the 30-year-old Ms Pal's alleged murder.

Droudis did not enter a plea when her case was mentioned at Penrith Local Court on Monday.

She was committed to stand trial at the Supreme Court where she is expected to be arraigned on September 4.

She was committed to stand trial at the Supreme Court where she is expected to be arraigned on September 4.

It comes after Droudis had her bail revoked last year when NSW Attorney-General Brad Hazzard asked the Director of Public Prosecutions to immediately review it after the cafe siege.

Crown prosecutor John Pickering SC had argued that Droudis posed a risk given the content of a video that was tendered to the court, and in which she allegedly spoke about terrorism.

He said the crown held concerns her extremist views were "still operative".

In revoking her bail, Magistrate Graeme Henson said there were strengths and weaknesses in the circumstantial crown case against Droudis.

He also warned the media, given the emotions in the community surrounding the siege, to choose their words with great care.

"Inflaming public views through the prism of ignorance or misinformation is not consistent with a fair-go," he said in December.

Monis and two hostages died in the Lindt Cafe after a 17-hour siege.
