St Kilda veterans Nick Riewoldt and Leigh Montagna have signed contract extensions with the AFL club.
The Saints have endured a testing off-season, with the low point being the sacking of coach Scott Watters less than three weeks before the national draft.
Watters' exit came shortly after the Saints traded away two of their best players, Nick Dal Santo and Ben McEvoy.
Montagna was speculated to be on the move, but has been impressed with new coach Alan Richardson and decided to remain at St Kilda until at least the end of 2016.
"You know what you are going to get with Alan, he's very honest and up front," said Montagna, who at age 30 looms as a likely one-club player.
"He is all about hard work and effort and working together.
"St Kilda is on an exciting path."
There were rumours in October's trade period that Riewoldt would walk out on the club, but they proved to be just that as the 31-year-old has committed until the end of 2015.
"I'm certainly happy ... now it guarantees that I will play the rest of my career at St Kilda," said incumbent skipper Riewoldt, who is likely to become the Saints' longest-serving captain if he retains the role next year.
Riewoldt has led St Kilda in 160 games over eight years, second only to Danny Frawley (177 games).
The Saints are currently in the US for a high-altitude training camp in Boulder, Colorado.
