The Prime Minister is hearing from increasingly frank and emboldened colleagues.

After surviving a leadership spill motion Tony Abbott promised to be more consultative and "socialise" the decision-making process.

Now, as Thea Cowie reports, many Liberal MPs are testing that pledge.
