A 30-year-old man's coronavirus infection will be included in local transmission numbers for NSW on Sunday, as the state's latest cluster continues to grow.
NSW recorded two new locally acquired cases on Saturday - a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s who both visited the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre - bringing the outbreak to six cases.
The younger man's case came to light after the Saturday reporting period.
A limousine driver aged in his 60s who was transporting international flight crew is thought to be the source of the outbreak of the highly transmissible Delta variant, NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said on Saturday.
He said the variant, first discovered in India, appears to be a "new and present danger".
"It is a virus that is very capable of transmitting even when we have fleeting proximity between the individual who is infectious and any of us who might be passing by."
The NSW government has warned testing levels are not high enough, with around 26,000 tests conducted in the 24 hours to 8pm Friday.
On Saturday evening, NSW Health listed a number of potential new COVID-19 exposure sites including Fitness First gyms on Pitt Street and Bond Street in the Sydney CBD, Salvos Stores in Tempe, and a Baby Bunting outlet in Shellharbour in the Illawarra.
Other new sites of concern in Sydney include Chemist Warehouse stores in Pitt Street, Oxford Street and Bondi Junction; Aldi and Coles supermarkets at Eastgate Bondi Junction; Woolworths at Pitt Street Mall; Square Sandwiches on George Street and Baker's Delight at Wynyard Station.
Anyone who attended these venues at the listed times and dates must get tested and self-isolate immediately.
Western Australia and South Australia have shut the border for those who have attended NSW virus exposure sites, while Victoria has tightened restrictions for residents of the City of Sydney, Waverley and Woollahra council areas.
Meanwhile, Victoria recorded zero new locally acquired virus infection on Sunday, after one new case was recorded on Saturday - a close contact of an existing case and has been in quarantine while infectious.
There are 51 active cases in the state, including those in hotel quarantine who acquired their infection overseas.
Masks are no longer required outdoors and travel restrictions were scrapped in Victoria from Friday.
