More hot weather in store for WA

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions will persist over large parts of WA on Monday as well as over northern parts of Victoria, western NSW and southwest Qld.

A heatwave sweeping Western Australia is set to intensify in some areas over the next three days.

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions will persist over large parts of central and northern WA on Monday as well as over northern parts of Victoria, western NSW and southwest Queensland.

Conditions will ease throughout the week over southwest WA and northeast SA.

Extreme temperatures are forecast to hit the towns of Marble Bar and Paraburdoo the hardest.

Marble Bar is expected to hit 45C on Monday before climbing to 47C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Paraburdoo is also forecast to hit 47C on Wednesday.
