COFFS HARBOUR, NSW, May 25 AAP - NSW coach Laurie Daley has settled on his final 17 for State of Origin I, after releasing Josh Morris and Tyson Frizell from his squad on Wednesday in Coffs Harbour.

Canterbury's Morris and St George Illawarra back-rower Frizell are free to play this weekend for their respective clubs.

The duo will rejoin the Blues in camp on Monday in Sydney.

The move whittles down Daley's 19-man squad for next Wednesday's Origin opener at ANZ Stadium.

However, Daley is yet to settle on his starting line-up with the team finishing their first full training session on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blues will have their main contact session on Thursday.
