Treasurer Scott Morrison will carefully look at the successful bid for the S Kidman and Co land and cattle empire by mining billionaire Gina Rinehart's AOB consortium with Chinese partner Shanghai CRED.
Due to the bid's foreign investment element, it has to go before the foreign investment review board, which will provide advice and aid Mr Morrison's decision.
"I knocked (foreign bids) back twice before under the previous arrangements and we will look at this one carefully, but it is important we get investment into Australian agriculture - jobs in agriculture depend on this investment," Mr Morrison told Sydney's 2GB radio.
