Treasurer Scott Morrison says he won't be chasing lost revenue from falling commodity prices when he hands down his mid-year budget review.

Treasurer Scott Morrison says he won't be chasing lost revenue from falling commodity prices by jacking up taxes.

He says there are some things, like commodity prices, that the government has no control over.

"What you don't do with these types of things is that you don't chase those things down a hole," Mr Morrison told Sky News on Wednesday.
