Mum-of-two found dead in Brisbane

Detectives have revealed a woman whose body was found at a Brisbane home was single mother-of-two Danielle Miller.

Detectives are investigating reports a man was seen banging on the door of a Brisbane home where a woman's body was later found.

Mother-of-two Danielle Miller, 44, was found dead by officers at her house in Greenslopes on Saturday night and police believe her death is suspicious.

"We are getting information to the effect that a man was seen in the vicinity in the early hours of Friday morning," Detective Acting Inspector Tony Geary told media in Brisbane on Sunday.

"Obviously we would be appealing to witnesses that may have seen something to come forward."

A number of people are being interviewed by detectives, including Ms Miller's estranged husband who lives in Brisbane with their two young children.

The pair had been separated for several years and Ms Miller lived alone.

Police haven't revealed how the woman died, however, an autopsy is being carried out on Sunday.

Inspector Geary declined to say if there were any obvious signs of injury on the body.

Detectives are canvassing the area around Ms Miller's Chatsworth Road home where her body was found by officers about 5pm (AEST) on Saturday.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between the early hours of Thursday and Saturday evening.
