Munster move for ex-Wallaby Chisholm

Former Wallaby Mark Chisholm will move from Bayonne to Limmerick to play for Munster.

Munster have announced the signing of Australian international lock Mark Chisholm.

The 33-year-old, who won 58 Wallabies caps between 2004 and 2010, will move to Limerick from Bayonne on a two-year deal, subject to being granted a valid work permit and obtaining medical and fitness clearance.

Chisholm also made more than 100 appearances for Canberra-based Super Rugby side the Brumbies, and he captained Bayonne for three seasons.

Munster chief executive Garrett Fitzgerald said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Mark. His skills as a player have been showcased for many seasons across a number of different environments at both club and international level.

"Known for his athleticism and physicality, he will be a huge addition to the side with his abilities as a leader also proven."
