Gold Coast captain Nate Myles says he's not buying media speculation Queensland State of Origin teammate Sam Thaiday is on the outer at NRL rivals Brisbane.

Myles says Thaiday has been playing superbly for the Broncos during their early 2015 form and will be a key player on Friday's derby between the two Queensland rivals at CBUS Super Stadium.

The Titans skipper says Thaiday is built for big games and has dismissed reports suggesting he's playing for his future at Red Hill over the next few weeks.
