N. Korean actions could hit Aust markets

Parliament secretary Steve Ciobo warns Australia's top export markets could be crippled if there is one false move by North Korea.

One false move by North Koreans could have a devastating impact on Australia's economy, parliament secretary Steve Ciobo has warned.

Nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula and the South China Sea dispute were among risks to Asia's uninterrupted growth story that Mr Ciobo outlined during a speech to the Committee for Economic Development of Australia conference in Canberra on Monday.

"The capitals of our three largest export markets all lie within 1300 kilometres of Pyongyang," he said.
