Customers who have used NAB point of sale facilities at the weekend, should check their credit card statement after an issue caused the same transaction to be applied numerous times.

The issue has impacted a number credit card users, not just NAB customers, who used a NAB run EFTPOS unit at the weekend.

NAB told one of its merchants, "We are aware of an issue that has occurred resulting in some transactions being declined on the terminal placing a flag against the customers funds. This will remain for 5 working days. Where customers have tried a transaction multiple times, multiple flags have been applied. It is suggested the customer approach their Bank to arrange a buffer on their account in the meantime"

A NAB spokesperson has told SBS World News, the issue impacted 10 per cent of customers that made a transaction using a NAB merchant facility.

The issue has been identified, and NAB says the amount charged should be refunded tomorrow, or Friday.
