Nadal pulls out of Paris Masters tennis

Next week's ATP Paris Masters tennis tournament has lost world No.3 Rafael Nadal who has pulled out citing personal reasons.

World No.3 Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the next week's ATP Paris Masters citing personal reasons, the French Tennis Federation said on Friday.

The Spaniard is already guaranteed a place in the season-ending World Tour Finals in London next month.

The Paris tournament, often beset by withdrawals due to its position on the calendar so close to the ATP Finals, has also lost US Open champion Marin Cilic with an arm injury and No.13 Ernests Gulbis due to a shoulder problem.

Nadal has been replaced in the draw by compatriot Pablo Andujar while Pole Jerzy Janowicz, finalist in 2012, and Canadian Vasek Pospisil take the places of Cilic and Gulbis.
