British supermodel Naomi Campbell says she's still a work in progress.
Campbell will be celebrating 28 years in the business next month, but says she's still excited by the new talent in fashion and always strives to adapt.
Famed for her sleek long black hair, Campbell was recently sporting a big afro for a British TV show appearance, and confesses she's happy to still keep her image fresh.
"I'm always a work in progress, I still want to look different I still want to work with that new hot young photographer that's going to change me and make me look different. So it's a constant challenge to myself," Naomi confided to HuffPost Live.
The 43-year-old model, who is a mentor on the upcoming Australian reality TV show The Face, also spoke candidly about what keeps her youthful, and far from slathering on different anti-aging lotions and potions, Campbell says her young looks are simply down to juices.
"I just have green juice. I take it daily. You get older, different things matter to you in your life. Health comes first and foremost to me, as well as family. I take care of myself ... I try," Campbell said.
When it comes to carving out a career as a successful model Campbell says it's about more than just being pretty.
"No it's not," she chimed when asked if modelling was just about the face.
"That is just not it at all. It's a lot of work."
"I think you've got to just have determination, patience and keep constantly evolving, changing yourself; knowing what works for you what doesn't work for you. Taking risks, being versatile."
Campbell says her longevity in the fashion world simply comes down to her decision to work when she wants and not overexposing herself.
"I come in and out, sometimes I want to model and then I disappear for a little bit and I go travelling and do my things with my kids in Africa and then I come back. I love what I do. I would never commit myself to something I'm not interested in," she explained.
* The Face Australia will premiere on Foxtel's Fox 8 channel on Tuesday March 18.
