A former Victorian education department official accused of siphoning-off funding meant for needy schools will be questioned for a second day at an anti-corruption hearing.
Sacked finance manager Nino Napoli is expected in the witness box again on Wednesday at the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission hearings into allegations some senior staff used for themselves funding allocated to so called "banker schools".
On Tuesday Mr Napoli admitted to directing false invoices to schools to avoid being caught out by his education department bosses.
Mr Napoli also told the hearings he had ideas about how similar scams could be stopped in the future.
IBAC is investigating claims 17 companies linked to Mr Napoli and nine of his relatives received more than $2.5 million from Victorian schools between 2007 and 2014.
The inquiry began in April and has heard from a variety of witnesses, including principals, department colleagues and a number of Mr Napoli's family members.
His close friend and former colleague Jeff Rosewarne is also expected to give further evidence as the hearings continue.
