'Natural witch' says intuition is one of her strongest powers

When you think of witches what comes to mind? Broomsticks, potions, and maybe warty noses? But forget the stereotypes - there’s more to being a witch than warts, wands and Harry Potter according to self-proclaimed 'natural witch' Natasha Heard.

There are many branches of witchcraft people can practice such as Paganism, Druidism, and Wiccan.

 

But 'Natural Witch' Natasha Heard says she doesn't want to be put into any one category.

 

“It’s taken me a really long time to be able to call myself a witch,” she says. “I like Harry Potter and I like the TV show Merlin and all of those magical creative shows."

“[But] they are exaggerated. You know, when you use a wand, light doesn’t come out of the end of it.”

 

The mother of two says intuition is one of her strongest powers. She also uses hand-made wands for healing and makes spell bottles for abundance and thanks.

 

But while some might think witchcraft is just confined to the realms of fantasy, Heard says her experience is real.

 

“When I do readings for people - rune readings and card readings - sometimes I’ll see a unicorn around that person and the unicorn will be helping me with the reading.”

 

"People can be sceptical if they want to," she says. "They can believe what they like and I can believe what I like.”
