The Nauruan government has suspended three opposition MPs from parliament for criticising it in the foreign media.
Mathew Batsiua and his colleagues Roland Kun and Kieren Keke have spoken out against the island nation's involvement in Australia's tough asylum seeker policy.
They've been particularly critical of the Nauru government's decision in January to expel the chief justice, Australian Geoffrey Eames, and dismiss its only magistrate, fellow Australian Peter Law.
Thea Cowie spoke with the Opposition's Mathew Batsuia about the ban.
